Using the traditional Huichol techniques, glass beads are individually strung in a gorgeous medallion dangle style earrings. The design combines the Huastec star of the Tenek people and the Peyote flower of the Huichol. The Huastec Peyote star is symbolic of the indigenous Teenek (Tenek) people. A Mayan speaking people of the Huasteca region in Mexico. The Huichol and Tenek blended families and created beautiful Huichol art. This star cross is a traditional design that is passed down from the Uto Aztecan ancestors. The four points equal the north, south, east and west with each point having special meaning. So stunning, festival style and perfect for the bohemian look that we all know and love.
Dangle: 2" round, octagon shape, large Huastec Tenek star. Platinum pearl edges with fern green half peyote flowers, and graduated earth colored star.
