Here is a 1960 publication, first printing ("A"), of another of Marguerite Henry's beloved horse tales,
Gaudenzia Pride of the Palio
, featuring the famous race in Siena, Italy.  This particular book is notillustrated by the usual Wesley Dennis, but by famed illustrator Lynd Ward.
Dust jacket price not clipped. Partial store label on back inside board.  Dust jacket has some fraying as you can tell, and I will enclose it in a mylar protector prior to shipment.  Board have some rubbing on edges and four corners (though not to cardboard), and as you can see an area of a stain on the top.  Very slightly cocked spine more at top than bottom.
When I take pictures indoors, my old iPhone tends to inject a yellow or peach tone that I have not been able to photoshop out entirely.  Pages are not darkened or discolored but in real life a "winter white" shade.
