LITTLE STEVEN VAN ZANDT - 1966 & 1967 ORIG. BUSINESS CARD & PHOTO - SPRINGSTEEN

This auction contains TWO ultra rare ORIGINAL items from the earliest days in the amazing musical career of LITTLE STEVEN VAN ZANDT.    In 1966, while still a sophomore in High School in Middletown New Jersey, Steven Van Zandt was in a band called "The Shadows".    In 1967, they changed their name to "The Source".    The 4th photo in this listing shows Middletown newspaper articles covering both bands.     He graduated High School in 1968.
Here we have an ORIGINAL 1966 photo which "The Shadows" used as their business card.  The photo is 5" x 3.5" and in excellent to near mint condition.  The name of the band and the manager's phone number is written at the top left (likely by the manager "Big Mama", who was the drummer's mother!).    The Shadows never had business cards, they used these photos.  In the photo, Van Zandt is third from the bottom.
And we have an ORIGINAL 1967 business card for "The Source".  This is the ONLY original business card from The Source known to exist.   By 1967 the band was working steadily and they could afford to get proper business cards printed.
After these early bands broke up and members went off to college, Steven Van Zandt first joined Bruce Springsteen in 1970 as the bass player in his band "Steel Mill",  and then he joined the legendary E STREET BAND in 1975 as "Miami Steve".   He left the E Street Band for a solo career in 1982 and formed his own band "Little Steven & the The Disciples Of Soul".   He rejoined Springsteen when the band was reunited and he has been an E Street member ever since, as well as releasing solo albums.
This is a UNIQUE opportunity to own TWO original items from Little Steven Van Zandt's early High School Bands.
