    Description

    Hand crafted by Huichol artist. The "yarn paintings" are colorful yarn on wood adhered with beeswax. The colors and pictures are chosen for their spiritual significance.
    Each piece of Huichol art is said to be a prayer in material form. The artists are said to take a 600 mile spiritual pilgrimage through the Siera Madre before becoming the conduit through which their art flows.
    Colors:
    Orange represents the Wirikuta land, to which the Huichol take their spiritual journey.
    Green represents growth, heart, healing, heaven and Earth.
    Blue represents the feminine, rain, water, and south.
    Red represents masculinity, fire and east.
    White represents the spirit realm.
    Scorpions repel bad luck.
