Huichol Horse head

Description

As the main method of long-distance transport for the Huichol people, the horse is greatly respected in their traditions. Horses were used to facilitate the trade of goods and medicine as well as in battle as these indigenous peoples fought to defend their homeland from invasion. These paper mache sculptures are decorated with colorful beads showcasing traditional shaman-inspired imagery.   Handmade of glass beads.  Comes with certificate of
