Handmade especially for our store by a Mexican Huichol Indian from the Sierra Mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.  The Huichol are an indigenous Mexican Indian tribe that originally relied on symbols for their written language.  Their culture, rich in ceremony and spirituality, create beautiful beaded art necklaces.  Each one of their beaded necklaces takes hours and days of work.  One by one, glass beads were added to create this gorgeous medallion necklace and medallion earrings set.  This Huichol jewelry set is

Details:
Longer style pouch necklace, beaded on both sides of medallion with gorgeous reds, orange, adobe and black color glass beads.  The mystic spiritual pouch is used by the Huichol to carry seeds that are blessed during the ceremony for successful crops.  The story is told that the Huichol Indian, Yuramec, escaped the flood and carried a pouch around his neck to cultivate his new land.  Matching star Peyote medallion dangle earrings with same colors as necklace.  The star Peyote cactus is used during Shaman rituals.  Matching Peyote star cactus medallion dangle earrings with same colors as necklace.

Peyote is the symbol for higher consciousness by the Huichol Shaman religious leaders.
Adobe, red and orange color edges with black background and large Huichol earth and fire graduated flower.
In the middle of the flower, a larger light blue glass bead adds detail.
Adobe color dangles below the medallion with clear metallic yellow and clear metallic green twist tube beads with a larger clear metallic orange bead at the tips.
The medallion is held by a beautiful adobe color strand with rainbow color accents.
