Handmade especially for our store by a Mexican Huichol Indian from the Sierra Mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.  The Huichol are an indigenous Mexican Indian tribe that originally relied on symbols for their written language.  Their culture, rich in ceremony and spirituality, creates beautiful beaded art necklaces.  Each one of their beaded necklaces takes hours and days of work.  One by one, glass beads were added to create this gorgeous medallion necklace and medallion earrings set.

Details:
The mystic spiritual pouch is used by the Huichol to carry seeds that are blessed during the ceremony for successful crops.  The story is told that the Huichol Indian, Yuramec, escaped the flood and carried a pouch around his neck to cultivate his new land.  Matching star Peyote medallion dangle earrings with same colors as necklace.  The star Peyote cactus is used during Shaman rituals.  Longer style necklace, beaded on both sides of the medallion with gorgeous blue and Huichol fire color glass beads.

Peyote is an important symbol for the Huichol Shaman religious leaders.
Blue color edges with black background and large Huichol earth and fire colored graduated flower.
In the middle of the flower, a larger bright clear with neon pink glass bead adds detail.
Blue color dangles below the medallion with clear metallic red and clear metallic royal blue twist tube beads with a larger clear neon pink bead at the tips.
The medallion is held by a beautiful blue color strand with rainbow color accents.
