Handmade especially for our store by a Mexican Huichol Indian from the Sierra Mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.  The Huichol are an indigenous Mexican Indian tribe that originally relied on symbols for their written language.  Their culture, rich in ceremony and spirituality, create beautiful beaded art necklaces.  Each one of their beaded necklaces takes hours and days of work.  One by one, glass beads were added to create this gorgeous medallion necklace and medallion earrings set.  This set is 100% authentic Huichol art and not the imitation.
Details:
Longer style necklace, beaded on both sides of medallion with gorgeous navy blue, royal blue, white and black glass beads.
The mystic spiritual pouch is used by the Huichol to carry seeds that are blessed during the ceremony for successful crops.
The story is told that the Huichol Indian, Yuramec, escaped the flood and carried a pouch around his neck to cultivate his new land.

Hand woven onto a black double sided, simulated leather pouch bag.
Medallion is a large peyote flower.
Peyote is the symbol for higher consciousness by the Huichol Shaman religious leaders.

avy blue, royal blue and black color edges with black background and large Huichol blue to white ocean colored graduated flower.
In the middle of the flower, a larger black glass bead adds detail.
Navy color dangles below the medallion with clear metallic gold and clear metallic green twist tube beads with a larger clear metallic orange bead at the tips.
The medallion is held by a beautiful blue color strand with rainbow color accents.
