    Description

Huichol Beaded Pig Sculpture Mexican Folk Art Signed COA Chaquira Piggy Figurine
Huichol Mexican Indian folk art is truly unique and all handmade by the indigenous people of the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.
Beautiful, multi-colored, glass beaded, handmade resin/fishbone pig figurine sculpture.  Handmade by Mexican Huichol Indian
Librado Carrillo Carrillo, Paritemay, in Mexico.  Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this pig sculpture and adding, one-by-one, glass beads this rich colored piggy depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.
    Measurements:
    Height: 3.25"H
Side to Side:  Front leg to front leg: 2.25"L
    Back to Front: 2.75"L
Symbols are very important for communication by the Huichol.
On a sparkly black pearl color glass beaded background, Librado used taupe colored beads to adorn this fun and playful sculpture.  (
Note:  The pearl color beads are more valued by the Huichol and cost double compared to the regular beads.)
His (or her) cute pig face has taupe colored Peyote flower eyes and cheeks.
He has 7 varying size of Peyote flowers on his body.
On his belly, the powerful Father Sun communicates with the Huichol Gods.
We love his playful pose with his head and front feet to the ground and his back legs raised in the air.
This special piglet is signed by the artist and a certificate of authenticity, signed by Librado, is included.
We offer free USPS first class shipping on this item.
He's (or she's) so special and a beautiful gift for a pig lover.
