Huichol Mexican Indian folk art is truly unique and all handmade by the indigenous people of the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.
Beautiful, multi-colored, glass beaded, handmade resin/fishbone pig figurine sculpture.  Handmade by the Mexican Huichol Indian
Librado Carrillo Carrillo, Paritemay, in Mexico.  Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this pig sculpture and adding glass beads,
one-by-one,
this sparkly colored piggy depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.

Symbols are very important for communication by the Huichol Mexican Indians.
On a sparkly metallic red color glass beaded background, Librado used lavender and black colored beads to adorn this fun and playful sculpture.  (
Note:  The metallic color beads are more valued by the Huichol and cost double compared to the regular beads.)
He (or she) is in a sitting position with his head tilted backwards.
His cute pig face has lavender colored Peyote flowers on his cheeks and God's Eye symbols for his eyes.
He has 7 varying size of Peyote flowers on his body.
On his back, the powerful Father Sun communicates with the Huichol Gods.
The Messenger deer protects his chest and an ear of corn requests healthy crops for his family.
This special piglet is signed by the artist and a certificate of authenticity, signed by Librado, is included.
