    Description

Huichol Beaded Our Lady of Guadalupe Art Figurine Mexican Folk Art Signed COA
    Authentic Mexican
    Huichol
Indian folk art is truly unique and all handmade by the indigenous people of the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.
Beautiful, multi-colored, glass beaded and hand painted resin Our Lady of Guadalupe, Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, figurine sculpture.  Handmade by the Mexican Huichol Indian artist, Librado Carrillo Carrillo, Paritemay, in Mexico.  The artist
    signed
    this sculpture and a (COA)
certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist,
is included.  Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this sculpture and adding, one-by-one, glass beads this bright and colorful Our Lady figurine depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.
    Measurements:
    Height: 8.5"
    Front to back: 2.75"
    Side to Side: 2.6"
This well known pose of the Virgin, with hands clasped in prayer, standing atop a crescent moon with a cherub holding the bottom fold of her gown is completely adorned with micro-glass beads and important symbols for the Gods.
Her mantle is made of graduated values of yellow and green glass beads, rich green symbols and framed with bright yellow beads.
The artist used bright yellow and graduated green beads for trim on her cloak.
On the back, a large graduated green beaded Peyote flower made of 6 messenger deers is protected by a large metallic green trimmed Messenger Deer and ultimate protector of the Father Sun.
Several Peyote flowers garnish her mantle with gorgeous sparkly greens.
A beaded knob is added to the back to (gently) hang a rosary or special item for the ofrenda.
The front of her gown is embellished with pink glass beads and clear with neon pink metallic center symbols.
The all important deer and Peyote flower offer messages to the Gods.
Below, the 3D cherubic angel is clothed in a clear pink with metallic neon pink center colored gown with bright yellow accents, wine colored trim and black beaded hair.
Gorgeous pink neon metallic beads bless the back of the angel and pink colors add brilliance next to the cherub.
The base is adorned with graduated bronze metallic center bronze color beads and bright yellow Peyote flowers.
Note:  The metallic beads are more valued by the Huichol and cost double compared to their regular beads.
A beautiful gift for an anniversary, special occasion or the ofrenda (offering).
