Description
Huichol Beaded Necklace Mexican Handmade AB Blue Chaquira Folk Art JewelryHandmade by a Mexican Huichol Indian from the Sierra Mountains in Jalisco, Mexico. The Huichol are an indigenous Mexican Indian tribe that originally relied on symbols for their written language. Their culture, rich in ceremony and spirituality, create beautiful beaded art necklaces. This is not one of the imitation necklaces from Guatemala or China. It is authentic Huichol. Each one of their beaded necklaces takes hours and days of work. One by one, micro glass beads were added to create this gorgeous peyote flower necklace.
Details:
Longer choker style with gorgeous AB (Aurora Borealis) blue glass beads. This necklace is so sparkly. Half peyote flowers line the front with larger crystal glass beads in the center of each flower. Peyote is used in religious ceremonies by the Huichol Shaman religious leaders and very important for the future visions of success for their culture.
We love the unique clasp with a beaded ball end and beaded loop. It can be shortened by clasping at the next loop. Great necklace for the boho look we all know and love or dress it up with a little black dress.
Overall length: 20 1/2"
