    Description

Huichol Beaded Horse Figurine Art Mexican Signed COA Folk Art Sculpture 8.5"H
Huichol Mexican Indian folk art is truly unique and all handmade by the indigenous people of the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.  100% authentic Huichol art.
Beautiful, multi-colored, glass beaded and hand painted resin/paper mache horse head figurine sculpture.  Handmade by the Mexican Huichol Indian artist, Librado Carrillo Carrillo, Paritemay, in Mexico.  The artist
    signed
    this sculpture and a
    COA
    ,
    certificate of authenticity
, signed by the artist, is included.  Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this sculpture and adding, one-by-one, glass beads this bright and elegant horse figurine depicts the offering message.
    Measurements:
    Height: 8.5"
    Nose to back: 7"
    Side to Side: 4.75"
Absolutely gorgeous, this sculpture is made with micro-glass beads and important symbols for the Gods.  Each detail is 3D sculpted, sparkly and unique.
His (or her) fabulous wavy mane is made of metallic silver, black and platinum pearl glass beads.
On his sculpted face, two large black Peyote flowers are delineated with platinum pearl and there are several metallic silver Peyote flowers.
Along the top of his nose is an extra large stalk of silver corn for prosperity of the people and under his chin is a metallic silver Peyote flower.
His neck has a majestic black deer, the ultimate messenger to the Gods, symbol.
We love how Librado used metallic silver beaded lines for rain to feed the Peyote.
On the right side of his neck is a large snake to instruct the Shaman how to become healers and a scorpion to protect the numerous metallic silver Peyote.
His sparkly happy eyes, lashes and forehead are all metallic silver.
His perky ears are accented with platinum pearl and we love the graduated colors on the back of his ears.
Under his neck, at the base, Librado used platinum pearl to mimic the circles we see in a cut piece of wood.
The head is set on a base with red, fire colored, deers dancing around the top.
The sides have large fire red Peyote flowers outlined in black and set amongst orange, the color of the sacred grounds, and platinum pearl.
This is one of the most gorgeous sculptures we have seen.  Librado's attention to detail is amazing and we love how he uses a lot of metallics.  His beaded art pieces all have that
    haute couture
look.  Note:  The metallic beads are more valued by the Huichol and cost double compared to the regular beads.
A beautiful gift for an anniversary, a birthday, gift for a horse lover or for the ofrenda (offering).
We are very fortunate and proud to honor the Huichol Indians with their talented art pieces and thankful to offer their art crafts to you.  For this reason,  we personally inspect every piece for complete bead details and first class handcrafts.
