    Description

Huichol Beaded Dog Figurine Art Mexican Signed COA Handmade Spirit Animal Husky
    Authentic Mexican
    Huichol
Indian folk art is truly unique and all handmade by the indigenous people of the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.
Beautiful, multi-colored, glass beaded, ceramic/fishbone dog figurine sculpture.
    Wixarika Arte, h
and beaded by the Mexican Huichol Indian artist, Librado Carrillo Carrillo, Paritemay, in Mexico.
This sculpture is signed by the artist and a COA (certificate of authenticity), signed by the artist, is included.
Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this dog sculpture and adding, one-by-one, glass beads this 3D unique and happy puppy dog depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.
    Measurements:
    Height: 5 7/8"
Length: Right front foot to tail:  4 1/8"
Width: Side to Side: 3 3/8"
Symbols are very important for communication by the Huichol.
    Librado's unique
    haute couture
style of using only a few colors is amazing and really allows the symbols to pop with an adobe and brown background.  We love how Librado purposely turns some beads sideways for real sparkle.  Colors:  Black, brown, adobe, red, metallic silver, metallic gold, platinum pearl, mink pearl and white.
His (or her) black eyes, in the God's Eye symbol for protection, are surrounded by gorgeous graduated pearl colors of platinum, mink, metallic gold and metallic silver.
His upturned mouth is the same graduated colors and he has a bright red tongue.
His 3D collar is so unique.  It has red peyote flowers with brown and black outlines.
Under his collar is Aztec swirls in adobe colors.
In typical brown/red husky colors, the peyote symbol for life and success is protected by the scorpion and the Messenger Deer, Kauyumari, the spirit guide to the sacred grounds and messenger to the gods.
This husky puppy dog is one-of-a-kind.
Note:  The metallic and pearl beads are more valued by the Huichol and cost double compared to the regular beads.
He's (or she's) awesome!!!  Beautiful gift for a dog lover.
