The beadwork on this
set of wooden kitchen tools,
have been handcrafted in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains where the Wixárika (Huichol) culture of México originates. The beads are carefully sewn
one by one
with the purpose to create compositions that reflect the tradition and culture of this ancestral community. The production of this unique piece takes roughly 3 hours to complete each tool, resulting in 1/2 days of work for each artist. By purchasing one of our unique kitchen tools, you provide to the artists and community a day of work and the spread of their amazing culture.
The beadwork is removable to make it dishwasher safe.
