This mug is in
UNDAMAGED CONDITION
without chips or cracks. It are free of disfiguring mold or production imperfections.
These mugs are not easily found. Decorated ones are scarce. We have duplicates of this mug.  They are all in the same
UNDAMAGED CONDITION
as the one shown. The decoration is usually worn almost completely off. These mugs have most of their decoration intact and with this type of decoration that is amazing. There may be some minor wear on a couple of the mugs but they are in outstanding shape. The mugs are shown in Hazel Marie Weatherman's book and were called beer mugs.
Pillar Optic
- (1937 - 1942) (Crystal, Green, Some Pink Amber and Royal Ruby)
This pretty kitchen glassware was introduced by The Hocking Glass Company in 1937.  Pillar Optic is the only Depression Era patterned set to include mugs and a pretzel jar.  Pieces include luncheon plates, cups and saucers, luncheon plates, sherbets, numerous tumblers, both footed and flat, a sugar and creamer set,  and two styles of pitchers. Bowls are listed, but I can never remember having a true Pillar Optic bowl in pink or green.  Most basic pieces can be found in green.  Pink is harder to find.  Pieces most often found in pink are the tumblers and pitchers.  Pretzel or cookie jars are also found.  Surprisingly, although scarce, quite a few pieces can be found in Royal Ruby.
