    Description

Catrina Bride Huichol Beaded Art Figurine Mexican Folk Art Day of the Dead
Huichol Mexican Indian folk art is truly unique and all handmade by the indigenous Indian people of the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.
100% authentic Huichol beaded art.  Absolutely gorgeous, elegant black pearl color and black color theme glass beaded, Day of the Dead, Catrina Bride clay figurine.
Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche wax onto this sculpture and adding, one-by-one, glass beads this Day of the Dead La Calavera Catrina bride depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.  This is a beautiful
    haute couture
    Catrina bride.
Dressed in a gorgeous deep v-neck bridal gown, with pearl color beaded accents, this Catrina portrays a traditional and elegant pose.
Her sophisticated style gown has small Peyote flower symbols on her bodice.
The bottom of her flared gown has a huge stalk of corn for her future family's nourishment and a coiled snake to protect the Peyote flower at the bottom.  Peyote is important to the Huichol Shaman during their ceremonies for future visions for their people.
Her mantilla style veil is enormous and envelopes her with protection.  A Messenger Deer, the ultimate messenger to the Gods, has 5 God's Eyes protecting her future children.
At the bottom of her flowing veil is a large Peyote flower (made of 7 Peyote flowers on each petal) with the Ocean Waves giving water to the Peyote flower.
Prayer arrows line the bottom of her veil and prepare to be shot into the air to start her ceremony.  (This is a typical beginning to each ceremony of the Huichol Shaman leaders.)
Her up-do hair has 5 three dimensional white sculpted flowers with yellow centers.
Her head is detachable and can move from side to side for different poses.  We love her neon pink eye shadow and Day of the Dead facial features.
Finally, she is carrying an enormous 3D sculpted red Peyote flower with 3D green leaves bridal bouquet.
The symbols used on her gown and veil make her seem as if she is preparing for her special day in a most elegant way.  Gorgeous!  See the matching groom in our ebay store.
