Huichol art is an extension of the deep religious feelings that every Huichol acquires in their traditional way of life. Through their art work, Huichol Indians encode and document their Shamanic, spiritual knowledge.Peyote consumption by the shamans manifests into a myriad of "power animal spirits" as well as visions of the Peyote flower itself.
