40mm F4 El Nikkor Enlarging Lens....Large Enlargements!! Excellent Performer!

If you find yourself running out of head room in the enlarging department then allow me to introduce you to the 40mm F4 El Nikkor, sharp as a tack and complete with the legendary contrast needed to help your duffer negs look better than they should. Suuuure...you didn't mean to underexpose then develop the negs in cold developer but you did and now technology has to bail your a$$ out of the fix you got yourself into. Enter...the 40mm Nikkor!
I used this lens for making 3x4 foot
enlargements and when you make prints that large you need ALL the help you can get in the contrast department, this lens didn't disappoint....if only your parents could say the same about you. But seriously for just a moment...the lens is sharp, the glass is coated and clean, no haze etc. The white marks you see on the barrel are from a previous owners use of the lens in some industrial spying apparatus, if you have nice fingernails you can pick it off...or not. If you still have that nasty nervous habit of biting them down to the quick I dare say a small wooden still will provide use.
The mounting ring came from the said industrial spying apparatus and does the job despite its clunky appearance.
