Authentic tour t-shirt for Bruce Sringsteen & The E Street Band during The River Tour in July of 1981 during their 5 night stand in July at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. This t-shirt was bought at the July 16 show on the night that Harry Chapin died in a car accident in NY. There's no tag and even though I think that I would have bought a large, this looks more like a medium. It measures 16-inches from pit to pit. From a smoke-free home.
The shirt was only worn once, the night of the show, and is in excellent shape for a t-shirt that's 38 years old. There's a tiny pin sized hole on the back (see photo) and when the shirt was washed it was washed with another tee, a red one, which bled a little. It was washed again and most of the red came out. You can still see a bit of red in the armpit and on the front (see photos) but it's barely noticeable and it might even come out in another wash (I didn't want to risk washing it again myself.) This is the real deal! This is not a fake from China or Indonesia! Ships from Massachusetts, no returns!
