Willy Ley, original leaflet insert for a toy model (
not included
) of a SPACE TAXI, with the insignia “US Space Force”  (Monogram models, Chicago, 1959) 4 x 5”, expanding  to 4 x 21”, with 8 panels of text and illustration, including Ley’s “The Space Taxi…What it does…How it works…” and an advertisement for his three other Space models – a Passenger Rocket, Orbital Rocket and TV Orbiter (i.e. reconnaissance satellite).
The entire model kit was reproduced by Monogram-Revell in 1996 and is still available.  The boxed set can bring more than 0 on the “antique” toy market.
It’s  amusing that Ley imagined a United States Space Force sixty years before its actual creation.
